If you would like to donate blood on Oct 6, the Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center will be on site from 8am to 12:30pm. There will be two slots available every 15 min between 8:00 am and 12:15 pm, and the online link to request a time slot will appear here as of July 6, 2010. All donors will receive refreshments and t-shirts. Thank you.
With regard to eligibility, donors can click this link for a list of Frequently Asked Questions, including health history and common travel questions
Commit for Life members who donate or attempt to donate in September, October or November will be entered to win one of four pairs of Continental Airlines tickets for travel in the contiguous U.S.
In addition, two Commit for Life members who donate or attempt to donate in September, October or November will be selected to each win a pair of BusinessFirst® tickets to visit select international destinations.
(The flyer also notes that gold-level Commit for Life donors will automatically receive an extra entry for donating or attempting to donate during September, October or November, and I wanted to clarify this. If your donors are not local Houston area donors, they will not qualify for this additional entry. Gold-Level donors are those who give blood quarterly to Gulf Coast Regional Blood Center.)
